Gary Batten (Owner/President)
Licensed in North and South Carolina

Mr. Batten graduated from Appalachian State University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. In 1969 Mr. Batten joined the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and received an early retirement in 1983. In January, 1984, Mr. Batten began Batten Investigations and Security Service, Inc., which became solely an investigative company in November, 2000. He is currently licensed by the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to conduct investigations in North and South Carolina. Mr. Batten is an active member in the World Association of Detectives, the World Investigator's Network, the North Carolina Insurance Crime Information Exchange, the South Carolina Association of Legal Investigators, and is a past president and active member of the Society of Former North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations Agents.

Brian Casey (Vice President)
Licensed in North and South Carolina

Mr. Casey graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology in May, 1996, and has completed a program in Marketing and Management. Mr. Casey began full time employment with Batten Investigations in June, 1996, as a Private Investigator. Mr. Casey is licensed by the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to conduct investigations in North and South Carolina.

Jeanna Batten Casey
Licensed in North Carolina only

Ms. Casey is the daughter of Gary Batten and began part-time employment with Batten Investigations in an administrative capacity in June, 1988. Ms. Casey became a full time employee after graduating from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in May, 1993, and received her Private Investigator's license in June, 1995. Ms. Casey is licensed by the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board to conduct investigations in North Carolina only.

Donald Edwin Snell
Licensed in North Carolina

Mr. Snell began employment with Batten Investigations in May, 2004. He is licensed as a Private Investigator with the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board to conduct investigations in North Carolina only. He retired in April, 2001, from the state of New York as the Chief Environmental Conservation Captain where he was the commander of Police operations in an eleven county region. He has brought the expertise of Environmental Investigations to Batten Investigations, Inc., which is a new area of work for this company. His expertise would include PRP (potentially responsible people) investigations, brown fields (properties that are contaminated) investigations, asbestos investigations and investigations of environmental liability relating to real estate transactions or investor financing.

Paul Barczy
Licensed in North Carolina

Mr. Barczy began employment with Batten Investigations in January of 2011. He is licensed as a Private Investigator with the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board to conduct investigations in North Carolina. He is working out of the Winston Salem area and will cover the northern central and northwestern portions of North Carolina. He previously worked with the North Carolina Highway Patrol for 11 years. He then began employment with AT&T where he was an Investigations Manager covering seven states. He handled employee theft, credit card theft, and building security for them. Since his employment with AT&T, he has worked in the private investigative field for the past 20 years.

Jason Neifert
Licensed in North and South Carolina

Mr. Neifert graduated from Northern York High School in Pennsylvania in 2001, and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2003. After receiving an honorable discharge in 2007, he began working for Putnam Electric. In 2009, he joined the Air Force Reserves, which he is currently still enlisted in. In May of 2011, Mr. Neifert began employment with Batten Investigations to conduct investigations in North Carolina, and in October of 2011, he became licensed with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to conduct investigations in South Carolina.
